YouTube
>
Lesson I learned
1. Ask if I have made Bible-based decisions.
2. Gazing images/videos not supposed to be seen will influence my future marriage.
3. I'm fallen from history where 15 year-olds lead another youth to battle.
4. Ask myself, what part of my life would I want other people to have?
5. Flee youthful lust and start guarding my eyes!

    2. title: “나의 나 됨은 하나님의 은혜로다.” (translation: By the grace of God I am what I am”)

  1. Second lecture
    1. Lesson
      1. Reason why people don’t appreciate Jewish education
        1. 1. they follow Old Testament not New Testament
        2. 2. Jews killed Jesus
        3. 3….
        4. 4….
      2. Sanctification means Christlikeness (same with the image of God in 2 Cor 4:4)
        1. [613 laws = 365 don’t do + 248 do] => holiness, meaning setting apart for God
      3. Christians need to emphasize that we are different!
      4. After receiving Christ, the education of Shema needs to be followed through.
      5. Ro 9:1-3 Apostle Paul prayed for his own people to be saved, risking his life.
        1. Ro 9:1-3: I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, 2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. 3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
      6. Try answering question by question like Jesus.
      7. The Bible in 2 Tim 3:16 and Hebrew is referring to the Old Testament
        1. 2 Tim 3:16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
      8. The law
        1. The law is a tool for sanctification.
        2. Two functions of the law
          1. soteriological (구원론적): realize sins (police -> finds illegal behaviors; law -> identifies sinful behavior)
          2. pedagogical (교육학적): discern good over evil (Ps 1:1, Matt 23:1-3)
            1. Ps 1:1: Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
            2. Matt 23:1-3: Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
        3. The law vs. legalism
          1. legalism is an abuse of the law: making people’s lives difficult; no existence of love and grace
        4. The importance of keeping the law: Matt 5:20 says my righteousness > Pharisees and teachers of the law
          1. Matt 5:20: For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
        5. 3 steps to keep the law (c.f. Jesus’s Law application is stronger than the law: e.g. hate vs. killing; lustful thought vs. adultery
          1. 1st step: Old Testament (aka the law)
          2. 2nd step: Jesus’s preachings (aka committing sins at heart: e.g. hating someone is already killing the person)
          3. 3rd step: God’s love in action (e.g. Ro 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.)
        6. Keep the law <- 17-20="" 5:="" matt="" span="">
          1. 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
        7. Biblical references regarding the law
          1. c.f. The philosophy of the law: to protect the weak
          2. Ro 3: 31: Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
          3. James 2:22: Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
      9. pattern of church proliferation shift since the early church vs. Judaism
        1. church: Jerusalem -> minor Asia -> the U.S. -> Korea -> China -> …
        2. Judaism: no shift but ups and downs within proliferation due to influences from (the law + love) and (legalism)
